Don Imus Has Cancer

Shock jock Don Imus shocked the faithful this a.m. with the news he has Stage II prostate cancer. There are four stages.

WABC TV: He told his listeners he has full faith "his doctors will beat it." He did not say when he was starting treatment. "The day you find out is fine. But the next morning when you get up, your knees are shaking. I didn't think I could make it to work." Wearing black sunglasses and slumped behind his microphone, Imus speculated that the cancer may have come from stress.

My first thought: Imus will blame the "nappy-headed ho" controversy that almost ended his radio career. Then a CB commenter observed: "Imus speculated cancer may be due to stress brought on by CBS' Les Moonves or NBC's Phil Griffin or that "fat pig Al Sharpton"...

NYDN's Richard Huff: "I'll be fine. If I'm not fine, I won't be fine. It's not a big deal. The prognosis couldn't be better."

  2. Yeah, that's what I assumed when I saw the word "stress."

  3. What stress? Didn't Imus get a big fat settlement from CBS upon his quick dismissal from Radio? Give me some of that stress, please. What ever happens to Imus, little or nothing will be said of him, when he is gone.
