The National Association for Broadcasters awards DC's WMAL Radio the prestigious Marconi Award for Major Market Station of the Year. The award was presented Thursday night at the 2008 NAB Radio Show in Austin, Texas hosted by "Access Hollywood's" Billy Bush ("Billy Bush Show" on Westwood One). WMAL beat out four other stations including KBWF-FM and KOIT-FM San Francisco, KIIS-FM Los Angeles, and WBLS-FM NYC.

Westwood One syndicated radio talk show host Jim Bohannon told CB Grandy & Andy should've won the Major Market Personality of the Year which went to Ryan Seacrest KIIS-FM Los Angeles:
Among the other winners: Legendary Station: KSTP-FM Minneapolis. Network/Syndicated Personality of the Year: Premiere's Glenn Beck. News Talk Station of the Year: KFI-AM Los Angeles. All winners here.
