Laura Ingraham's New Radio Contract. Finally.

Tom Taylor's Radio Info: "This is the happy end-result of some unhappy times between one of Mark Masters’ top syndicated talents and his company – which led to a management lockout for much of June. Back then, her attorney Eric Bernthal said “the fact is, they took her off the air” during an exclusive negotiating window with TRN. Her existing five-year deal expires in September. Bernthal acknowledges Masters’ role in widening Laura's affiliate base and giving her the timeslot she wanted, after she left Westwood in 2003: “They bet on her…invested in her and backed her.” Now she’s signed a multi-year extension and remains a star in the firmament at TRN. Ingraham’s latest attempt at adding television didn’t work out, during the early-Summer trial with Fox – but her act works on radio, for sure. Sounds like Masters has some additional affiliates to announce."

"Television didn't work out"??? Laura shot herself in the foot in that short Fox News "try-out."

Laura's at the top of her game in radio...

I agree that Laura did not do herself any favors by her antics off the air but, I still think she is pretty good on the radio and as a fill-in host for O'Reilly. I guess gone are the days when she had a pretty good afternoon program on MSNBC (remember that one).

That off-the-air video wasn't bad at all. Laura remained incredibly calm even though she was surrounded by obviously incompetent people. She didn't even raise her voice!

Carol: I just feel there is no reason to treat people in an undignified manner even if they are incompetent.
