Niggardly Fox should have just come clean after Chickaboomer reported last Friday Jesse Jackson's "telling niggers to behave" outrage. CB put in a call to Fox communications czar Brian Lewis the morning of July 11th, reported the Jesse quote to Lewis's secretary, and waited for a return call to report the tip. That call never came so CB went with it.
On Monday July 14th CB urged Fox to: "Stanch the bleeding! Produce the unedited version and be done with it. You've handed Jesse more Tee Vee face time, spawning more column inches and aural explosions than he's had in years... Jesse deserves a fair and balanced send-off into Obama Oblivion..." and once again reporting My tipster informed me last week Jesse blabbed something about Obama "telling niggers how to behave." The Fox Spin started yesterday afternoon when Bill O'Reilly went on Shep Smith's "Studio B":
- "Some weasel leaked it to the Internet to hurt Jesse Jackson. I'm not in the business of hurting Jesse Jackson." Jackson's done a fine enought job sabotaging himself. Had Fox simply released the entire tape instead of delaying the inevitable the story would not have percolated for nearly two weeks.
- "We left out trash talk not directed at Obama." Bill, the comment WAS directed at Obama. Jesse claimed Obama was "telling niggers how to behave." Not buying, my man.
- "I just looked at it as a story." A story with legs that could've been amputated at the time of the wound.
Shep professed ignorance: "I don't know the backstory here because I stay out of the O'Reilly Factor." He asked O'Reilly if he was upset that Jackson went on CNN and "that program, I forgot, on the same time you are."
Had Fox just confirmed CB's report and summarily released the tape instead of subscribing to former Bill Clinton press secretary Mike McCurry's Monica Lewinsky MO of "telling the truth slowly" this could've been avoided: "Jesse Jackson Dropped N-World vs Bam" NYP "The Rev. I don't know about this one. If it was a conservative and it was MSNDNC/Keith-O's fairy play-land they would run it every day and twice on Sunday. Yet, Fox doesn't do it that way but they let it out in dribs and drabs. Personally, I would have let out the whole enchilada and let the folks decide.
The idea that Fox now has to talk about it because someone else is talking about it--even though they (Fox) took a phony high road and told us all they weren't going to talk about it (you with me so far?)just makes this into more than using the N word.
