Cranky farty pants and professional background dancer Larry King couldn’t keep his emotions in check at his son’s Little League game — so he was thrown out. Or maybe he wasn’t. Differing accounts of King’s behavior during Chance Armstrong King’s March baseball game confirm that he was given a “talking to” by the umpire, but whether he erupted after being told to “regroup” and calm down, and was forced off the field and behind the fences after refusing to, isn’t clear. JossipI had nothing to do with the snarky Jossip item above. In the interest of full disclosure I was Larry's syndicated radio show news anchor in 1979-80. I never knew him to fart in public. But that was before his heart attack and new diet of Egg Beaters, berries, nuts, tree bark, whatever, that some gleefully gossiped prompted CNN to install a fan under his desk after guests complained.
The New York Observer "Larry Pitches Fit" story had some glaring goofs. "Young Chance is the son of Mr. King, 74, and his sixth wife, actress Shawn Southwick, 49."
Larry's been married at least eight times. Shawn Southwick is about as much as actress and singer as Charles Manson (Manson has record albums. Buy this one today from Amazon and save $1.99!) I find it amazing that Larry is the tony Beverly Hills Little League team's coach.
