Hillary To MSNBC: Heel Thyself

Hell hath no fury than a Clinton criticized. Hillary is demanding suspended MSNBC David Shuster's head. On the campaign trail today the architect of wandering eye Bill's "nuts and sluts" defense and overseer of the former president's "bimbo eruptions" accuses MSNBC of a vast anti-Hillary conspiracy promoting "a troubling pattern of comments and behavior that has to be held accountable.”

"Nothing justifies the kind of debasing language that David Shuster used and no temporary suspension or half-hearted apology is sufficient,” Clinton wrote to NBC News President Steve Capus, who apparently had already called Clinton to personally apologize.

“I would urge you to look at the pattern of behavior on your network that seems to repeatedly lead to this sort of degrading language,” Clinton wrote. “There’s a lot at stake for our country in this election. Surely, you can do your jobs as journalists and commentators and still keep the discourse civil and appropriate.”

Convinced MSNBC is pro-Obama, Hillary's cleverly manipulated NBC and other networks shaking in their collective boots to heel.

Well, this sets a dangerous precedent. TV news will be skittish about saying anything bad about Hillary. They will be on their guard. As it was they were reluctant to say Obama was ahead in the Super Tuesday as far as states and delegates.

Hillary has them all castrated now.

Hillary was just waiting around to strike the fear of God in MSNBC and the TV media, knowing MSNBC blowhards would lash out at her again.

I agree. If you'll recall MSNBC started out in 1996 as a rather geeky enterprise with Bill Gates's imprimatur all over the programming.

The programming was youth-oriented with young talent. CNN news star Soledad O'Brien was there from the beginning hosting a COMPUTER show! There was a young lady named Mary something or other who read viewers' emails on the air. The cute blonde girl had a permanent smile on her face. There was a young guy in dreadlocks named Omar, I think, who appeared as a talking head of sorts.

Spud has a link to Extreme Mortman about a comment by Olbermann referring to The pimping of General David Patraeus last summer. What kind of willful suspension of disbelief, will Hillary Clinton need to square this? You can't use the slang term pimping in reference to her daughter calling Super Delegates. An adult (27) who the Clintons inserted into Hillary's campaign. But apparently it is fine (pimping) to refer to a Decorated Army General, with troops in the field during a shooting war.

Marty,

Last night Obama swept every state that was up for grabs.

How come no one brings up that Shuster, was speaking about the "Super Delegates" no one is discussing the real issue.

Marty,

We are discussing the MSNBC element in all this. Keith and I have been discussing just what is MSNBC it is blending in with cable news channels but is it really a cable news channel. This might be why Shuster finds himself in the precarious place he is now. I think we are dealing with Horses and Zebras.

I can tell Shuster is a Liberal, I shouldn't be able to tell his political affilation, if during any part of the news day, he is going to report straight news.

It's interesting that MSNBC's Keith Olbermann continually blasts Fox News as Faux News and not really a "news" outfit.

The focus is on the operative offensive word "pimping."

I'll check out Spud's Extreme Mortman Olbermann thing.

There clearly is a double standard here. The difference: Hillary wrote NBC News prez Steve Capus a letter and blasted Shuster on the campaign trail. Republicans appear to be forced to endure the same verbal indignities while the perps go unpunished.

Something's gotta give...

Bill Press said, the opposite on Fox yesterday, giving his opinion on the Shuster Comment. His take paraphrasing, the Media thinks it can say anything they want about the Clintons but the Media doesn't treat Obama or McCain the same way...huh? I have watched CNN discuss the constant labeling of Obama as somehow a covert Muslim by his critics, and the smears you know Osama oh I mean Obama attacks. We were discussing O'Reilly's I won't brook it from the Right calling John McCain - Juan McCain.

Yesterday Obama swept all the states WA,LA,KS he won them all, today we are discussing Hillary's demands of the Media...Firings!

I said, that The Clinton's would use this to create a perception that the media is "unfair" toward Hillary one of her favorite words fair and unfair. No it isn't, from what I can tell they are scared to death of her. Presidential Posturing? Playing the victim card, I don't think so.
