Big Girls Don't Cry

Obama wins. Hillary cries. Again. Third time. Maybe three's a charm. If Ronald Reagan were here he'd summarily dismiss her ploy with: "There she goes again."

Thirty-six years ago Democratic presidential candidate Ed Muskie did the same thing and his perceived emotional instability cost him the nomination. Wash Monthly David Broder 1987 Muskie denied crying. Claimed it was melting snow. Muskie was upset over a NH viper newspaper publisher who ran a story about wife Jane's boozing and swearing.

Former Washington Post reporter Thomas Edsall has an intriguing piece in the Huffington Post about Bill Clinton's intricate, dubious, quid pro quo financial interest in California grocery magnate and Hillary fundraiser Ron Burkle's company with money stashed in the Cayman Islands.

This act is getting stale, I know there is a writers strike but surely the Clintons know someone who could write some new material for Hillary?

Crying on Cue and posturing as a constant Victim of a Media that is scared to death of the Clintons,is not who I want running the Country. It isn't Presidential.

I am guessing this is a photo from after Hillary was listening to Obama's speech last night in Virginia. My husaband and I were discussing Obama after the speech. My husband, Obama is going to wipe the floor with McCain!

Perhaps she's using the Kennedy "Kry On Q" eye drops... And Hillary claims she's ready to be president from "Day One"...

You know, in 22 years in the workplace, including 10 years spent in the bowels of the television industry, I've never cried on the job. EVER. I don't want my president melting down when it's politically expedient for her to. Do you think Putin cries on the job? Hell fucking no.

The only people crying around Putin are the ones he used to torture while head of the KGB. I never cried in my radio and TV career, either. That crying Holly Hunter in "Broadcast News" had to be invented by someone.

What I don't get, mystery2me, is why Hillary is continuing to play this card. Yeah, it worked for her the first time. But it smacks of the little boy who cried wolf.

The Iron Lady,Margaret Thatcher, didn't cry in public. Nor Indira Gandhi or Golda Meir.

Hillary's getting terrible advice. Perhaps that's why she fired her campaign manager today. the new manager Maggie Williams is a tough babe. Was Hillary's chief of staff in the WH.

Now Hillary's portraying herself as the underdog after Obama's primary wins today AND a Grammy for the audio recording of his book.

I, for one, don't believe her familiar victim role is going to play in Peoria - or anywhere else.
