In A Pickle: DC Madam

Here's the executive summary of the legal wrangling in the DC Madam case, The Madam wants to haul in clients of her former "escort" service as witnesses. The defense and prosecution are haggling over privacy rights. If the two sides come to some sort of agreement, the DC judge may lift the temporary injunction banning Deborah Jean Palfrey from outing more guys.

Run for the Virginia hills, men! Miz Palfrey's hunting for reinforcements to the client ranks her lawyer claims are coming forward to help her defense.

"Here's the pickle we're in, your honor," said federal prosecutor William Cowden. "The information in government files in some cases relate to other individuals' possible criminal activity... My suspicion is the defense wants to make some of that information public." [Wash Post]

You betcha, William. Miz Palfrey and her scummy lawer, Montgomery Blair Sibley, were out to intimidate, if not out, the johns.
