I might be wrong about MSNBC digging in its heels for cash cow Imus. Here's NBC "Today" show's Al Roker: "It's time for him to go." [MSNBC]Here's Imus on his show today: "The reason I'm not going to go on there and debate Al Sharpton and Matt Lauer is because Matt is, for whatever reason, is going to be on Rev. Sharpton's side, whether he is or not. I thought the report that NBC News last night did and Brian Williams was disgraceful."
Imus is just not getting it. We should have more black people on the show, he muses. What black journalist is gonna go on Imus?
Imus got his head handed to him by Rutgers women's basketball team members in a news conference today. No one spewed incendiary language. They were soft-spoken and matter-of-fact. The captain says the team will meet with Imus soon at "an undisclosed location." I'd like to be a fly on the wall. [WNBC]
He's got a history of disgusting insults. Colin Powell is a "weasel." New Mexico governor and Democratic presidential candidate Bill Richardson a "fat sissy." Native American Senator Ben Nighthorse Campbell is "that guy from F Troop." New York Knicks are "chest-thumping pimps." And NY Times black reporter Gwen Ifill is a "cleaning lady."
"Isn't The Times wonderful? Imus opined. "It lets the cleaning lady cover the White House."

Imus made some insensitve and wrong comments about the Rutgers Womans basketball team for sure. He apoligized on air and in person.
Did he ever request an all black security detail at Disney World? A nationally sydicated black radio host did. You can smell the hypocrisy coming from people like Sharpton, Jackson and Roker on the outrage ver Don Imus's remarks.
